Marina Billinger, founder and CEO of LEROMA
worked in the food industry for many years. During her contact with customers, she noticed how important an efficient raw material management is for a company's competitiveness. For years, she observed that food manufacturers had difficulties finding the right raw materials for their production. At the end of 2019, she founded LEROMA with the goal of digitally simplifying the procurement process in the food industry and making it more transparent.
Sustainability is important to Marina and she is very close to nature. Therefore, it is of great concern to her to take action against the waste of raw materials at the beginning of the value chain. For this reason, she developed the Surplus Exchange at the beginning of 2020. This offers suppliers the opportunity to pass on surplus raw materials to other producers and industries, thus saving valuable resources from disposal.
