(Organic) chia flour is obtained from the ground full-fat or partially oiled seeds of chia. It is a gluten-free flour with an extremely high content of high-quality protein and the valuable omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. In addition, the flour is very rich in fiber and full of vitamins and minerals. It has more calcium than milk, more potassium than bananas and three times more iron than spinach. Furthermore, it is rich in zinc and vitamin B1. The high content of antioxidants makes (organic) chia flour particularly long-lasting. Since it keeps insulin levels low, it helps prevent hunger attacks. Chia flour can be used to make baked goods with a high protein content, such as cakes, pastries and bread. It is also suitable for smoothies, desserts and puddings. However, a total amount of 15 grams per day should not be exceeded. Chia seed flour is also ideal as an egg substitute and as a binder for soups and sauces.
